Your knowledge and advice is not measurable Neil. My little Welsh Cob Ivy and I are developing such a beautiful trusting bond by following your approach. Stand at float and encourage – rub head – no step backwards or halter pressure applied. Then step forward – rub head – and voila – she walks on float !! And I have done this about 3 times a week for two weeks, and then an outing the other day was stress free. I now have a trusting pony after ditching everyone’s else’s tips of ‘use a whip ’ etc etc…
